Anchor Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern your use of Anchor (the “App”).
By using the App, you agree to these Terms.
1. Service
Anchor is designed to help users step away from their smartphones and reclaim time for what they genuinely want to do.
The App provides features including reflection tools, Anchor Time, temporary restrictions on apps selected by the user, and activity history for personal review.
2. Screen Time Features
The App uses Screen Time-related functionality provided by Apple.
App restrictions and other features may not operate as intended due to operating system behavior, user settings, permission status, or other circumstances outside the App provider’s control.
The App does not guarantee that smartphone use will be completely prevented or controlled.
3. Free Version
The free version may include limits on Anchor Time or other features.
The current conditions displayed in the App apply.
4. Anchor Premium
The App offers an auto-renewable subscription called Anchor Premium.
Anchor Premium may be offered as monthly and annual subscription plans.
The applicable price, subscription period, and availability or duration of any free trial are those displayed in the App and by the App Store at the time of purchase.
5. Free Trials
Eligible users may receive a free trial subject to Apple’s applicable conditions.
Eligibility for a free trial is determined by Apple.
Unless the subscription is canceled before the end of the free-trial period, it will automatically convert to a paid subscription in accordance with the terms displayed on Apple’s purchase screen.
6. Auto-Renewal and Cancellation
Anchor Premium automatically renews unless canceled by the user.
Subscriptions can be managed or canceled through the subscription settings associated with the user’s Apple Account.
After cancellation, Premium features will generally remain available until the end of the current subscription period.
7. Payment and Refunds
Purchases and payments for Anchor Premium are processed through Apple’s App Store.
Payments, billing, and refunds are subject to Apple’s applicable terms and policies.
8. Prohibited Conduct
You must not:
- Use the App in violation of applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with the operation of the App
- Use the App for unlawful or improper purposes
- Infringe the rights of the App provider or any third party
- Improperly analyze, modify, tamper with, or otherwise misuse the App
9. Changes or Suspension of the Service
The App provider may add, modify, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary.
Features may also be changed or suspended due to changes to iOS, Apple APIs, or other third-party services.
10. Disclaimer
The App is intended to support users in managing smartphone use and how they spend their time.
The App does not guarantee any particular outcome, behavioral change, improvement in productivity, or other result.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the App provider will not be liable for losses arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App.
11. Intellectual Property
Rights in the App and its text, designs, software, and other content belong to the App provider or their respective lawful owners.
12. Apple Terms
The App is distributed through Apple’s App Store.
In addition to these Terms, use of the App is subject to Apple’s Standard EULA and other applicable Apple terms.
13. Changes to These Terms
The App provider may update these Terms when necessary.
If a material change is made, notice may be provided within the App or through another appropriate method.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
